Verifying your company means verifying it on social. And so getting your company’s business account verified on the largest social network - Facebook takes priority. While it may seem like a complex process, it is quite easy to achieve if you follow our guidelines below step by step.
If you plan on verifying your company then one of the very first things you need to do is get it verified on Facebook. Once you’ve created an account for your business you can follow the steps below to complete the Facebook Business Verification. Here’s what you need to do -
1. Go to https://business.facebook.com to access Facebook Business Manager.
If you haven't already created a business account, select that option. Alternatively, you can create one by going to https://business.facebook.com/create.
2. The "Business Settings" option can be found on the left navigation bar. Click it.
3. Selecting the "Business Settings" option on the left navigation bar will bring up a submenu. Then select "Security Centre."
4. Click the 'Start Verification' button.
At times, the "Start Verification" option can’t be clicked on. In such circumstances, there are a few procedures you must take before that may be accomplished. You may read more about how to activate that button in the section below this one.
5. You will be asked to complete the "Business Details" form on the following page.
The following documents are required in order to verify your business on Facebook:
Proof of Legal Name: One of the following will do.
Company Incorporation Certificate
Business Registration (BR)
VAT/Tax Certificate
Address proof, one of the following:
Utility Bill (Electricity/Phone bill)
Bank Account Statement
A one-time password (OTP) will be provided to you through text, email, or phone call as soon as you have submitted the necessary documentation to Facebook Business Manager for verification. The phone number option is still unavailable for some nations. You should get the verification code right away. You can ask for a new one if it isn't there. Please read this article on correcting phone number inaccuracies if you are still having problems receiving a code.
You will notice under Business Settings -> Business Info as soon as your business has been confirmed.
Most new company accounts experience this frequently; more especially, those that do not use apps that demand Facebook Business Verification.
To activate the button, stick to these directions:
First, go to the Facebook Developers page. Choose "get started" or "My Apps" from the drop-down menu in the top right corner.
Click on the "Create an app" button.
Select one of the choices from the pop-up menu and click "Continue."
Enter the following information: your email address, the name of the app, and the reason for the account. Then choose "Create App" after choosing your Facebook Business account from the drop-down menu.
You're set. The "Start Verification" button will be enabled when you return to the Facebook Business Manager -> Security Center.
What should you do now that your Facebook Business account has been verified?
You'll need a strong channel of communication with all those new fans of your page. The WhatsApp Business API can help with that.
